About New Prairie Press
New Prairie Press was founded by Kansas State University Libraries in 2007, joining a growing number of libraries involved with open-access scholarly publishing. As an open access publisher, all our publications are freely available to read and download.
Most works published on New Prairie Press are released under a Creative Commons license, which clearly defines the ways in which the material may be reused.
Publications from all disciplines — written, edited or sponsored by scholars affiliated with Kansas State University — are welcome at New Prairie Press. In addition to scholarly journals, NPP publishes conference proceedings, faculty- and staff-authored scholarly monographs, open-access textbooks, and other special publications.
